How To Create Blog In Joomla
Blogging using default Joomla extension was never been so easy. Without any third party extensions, you can now create a full-featured blog with our Joomla templates. You just need to download any of our Joomla templates. It is quite straight forward. Just follow the instruction below:
Create a Catagory
You have to first create a Blog catagory. To do so, go to Content> Catagories> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a title on the Title Box then Save it.
Make sure, Status is selected Published.
Assign To Menu
Go to Menus> Main Menu> Click on New
at the top-left corner on the module. A new module will be appeared then. Now, Give a Menu Title, Select Menu Item Type Articles> Catagory Blog
, Coose Catagory Blog then Save and Close the module.
Create new Articles/Blog
Go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Select Blog from the Catagory drop-down menu then Save & Close.
Do not forget to write at least one tag on the Tags option.
Post Formates
There are seven article posting formate. You can use any of those formate, you need to just define the post formate while creating a new article. Now, I'm going to show you how you can do so.
Standard
To make a post in Standard Formate, first go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Now, click on Blog Options and then select Standard from Post Formate options. Though Standard is selected by default. Finally Save & Close.

Video
To make a post in Video Formate, similarly go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Now, click on Blog Options and then select Video from Post Formate options, write your desire video url on the Video URL Box then Save & Close.

Gallery
To make a post in Gallery Formate, similarly go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Now, click on Blog Options and then select Gallery from Post Formate options. Upload Gallery images one by one and then Save & Close.

Audio
To make a post in Audio Formate, similarly go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Now, click on Blog Options and then select Audio from Post Formate options. Write your desire audio embed code on the Audio Embed Code Box then Save & Close it.

Link
To make a post in Link Formate, similarly go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Now, click on Blog Options and then select Link from Post Formate options. Write a link title and put your selected link url on Link URL Box then Save & Close it.

Quote
To make a post in Quote Formate, similarly go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Now, click on Blog Options and then select Quote from Post Formate options. Write your expected Quote text on the Quote Text box, and write the Quote Author name on Quote Author Box then Save & Close it.

Status
To make a post in Status Formate, similarly go to Content> Articles> Click on New
on the top-left corner of the module. Give a Article title on the Title Box, write your article content on the Content module. Now, click on Blog Options and then select Status from Post Formate options. Write your desire status on the Add Status box then Save & Close it.

Aligning Post in Multiple Columns
Go to Menus> Main Menu> Clcik on Blog
to open customization settings. Clcik Blog Layout. In Column text box, assign the number of columns that you want your blog post to re-arrange in your Blog. Then Save & Close.
I used 3 for the purpose of example.

Latest Post Module
To add a Latest Post Section in your blog, go to Extensions> Modules
then you will find a search option, write Latest on search box to find the Latest Articles quickly. After you get this, click on it to configure.
- Give a Title according to your choice,
- On the Count text box, assign the number of post you want to show on your module,
- Define the Position of your module and
- Make sure Published is selected on the Status drop-down menu.
Now, click on Menu Assignment and uncheck all the menus accept Blog. Save & Close it.

Popular Post Module
To add a Latest Post Section in your blog, similarly as we told for adding a Latest Post Section, go to Extensions> Modules
then you will find a search option, write Popular on search box to find the Popular Articles quickly. After you get this, click on it to configure.
- Give a Title according to your choice,
- Define the Position of your module and
- Make sure Published is selected on the Status drop-down menu.
Now, click on Menu Assignment and uncheck all the menus accept Blog. Save & Close it.

Search Module
To add a Search Module in your blog, similarly as we told for adding a Latest Post Module, go to Extensions> Modules
then you will find a search option, write Search on search box to find the Search Module quickly or you can manually click on New at the top-left corner of the module and then you'll find Search. After you get this, click on it to configure.
- Give a Title according to your choice,
- Define the Position of your module and
- Make sure Published is selected on the Status drop-down menu.
Now, click on Menu Assignment and uncheck all the menus accept Blog. Save & Close it.

Enable Social Commenting
To enable comment option for your blog article, you have to go to Extensions> Templates> Click on your template
then template configuration module will be appeared.
- Now, click on Blog settings and enable Show Comments
- Select disqus as the Commenting Engine
- Provide your disqus username on the corresponding text box and
- Save the settings and you are done!
Now, refresh your site and you will find commenting option at the bottom of your each article on your blog and user can also comment on your article using their Disqus account, Facebook account, Twitter account and Google account as well. User just need to select one from the drop-down while making his first comment.
